Frances Chamberlain has led a dual career as an author and journalist, and also as a writing instructor. Her work has appeared in many regional and national publications including The New York Times and Newsmax Media. She spent a number of years working as a managing editor of small newspapers, editing books, and freelancing for magazines. In addition to traditional journalistic work, Chamberlain is known for her essays and is the co-author of several medical and scientific books. Her published work includes thousands of feature articles for newspapers and magazines, as well as essays and poetry.
She has taught college-level English for more than 25 years, focusing primarily on composition and literature at colleges in Connecticut. She has taught creative writing, composition, communications, and literature survey courses.
Other professional experience in education includes evaluating writing for AP English and other programs for the Educational Testing Services, and similar work with Pearson Education.
