In this workshop session, NYU alumnus Arthur Plaza (Ph.D. in History and French Studies, 2008) and two of his Lycée Français de New York colleagues will present the Lycée and its new partnership with the Institute of French Studies. In particular, the Lycée français will facilitate an International Education Mentorship Program in academic departments in the Secondary Division (Y6-Y12) for interested IFS students. The Education Mentorship will include 9 hours to observe classes. After the observation period, they’ll participate in a clinical cycle of 3 hours to prepare, teach, and debrief a session at the Lycée. In some cases, the Lycée faculty mentor will attend an IFS seminar with their mentee. Upon successful completion, IFS students will receive a certificate from the Lycée.
