Majors: Global Liberal Studies (Politics, Rights and Development) and French
Studying French has allowed me to find a greater home at NYU within the Department of French Literature, Thought and Culture and given me the incredible opportunities to attend cultural activities at La Maison Française, watch French films in Cinéclub, connect with unparalleled professors and even study abroad. I knew that learning the language would be an indispensable tool in my efforts to be a global citizen, and it has now led me to the reality of living and working in beautiful Paris, France.

Majors: Global Liberal Studies and French with a minor in History.
Since I was little I have always been enthralled with French language and culture, and its highly global influence, especially pertaining to the francophone world of Africa. In the future, I hope to apply my French studies to working on international development and gender mobility in French speaking West Africa.

Majors: French; Philosophy; Global Liberal Studies: Law, Ethics, and Religion
While I've always cherished the French language in itself, I love what it allows me to access: French art, film, literature, and the like take on a different significance when one is able to enjoy them in their original form. Additionally, French has been extremely useful to me in a practical sense, since it has allowed me to experience travel more authentically and engage people fully, on nearly every continent, in my experience working in international human rights.

Major: Economics; French
First and foremost, the beauty of French greatly attracts me, bringing me plenty of happiness and satisfaction. French is also an ancillary key that helps me to open the door of my future career development in business industry. As an Econ student who plans to do business in the future, the increasing significance of French in global business again burns my passion in the language, leading me to minor in French. That is to say, the French major perfectly matches my interest with my career development!
