Conversation and Composition

This fifth-semester French course is open to students who have completed one year (two semesters) of intermediate-level French (or one semester of intensive intermediate-level French). This course systematizes and reinforces language skills and functions presented in earlier courses through an intensive review of grammatical structures and usages, a variety of written activities, an introduction to composition writing, exercises and activities that promote lexical enrichment, and numerous opportunities to develop conversational and presentational skills. Prerequisite: Intermediate French II or Intensive Intermediate French.

Open to students who have completed the equivalent of a year's intermediate level and to others who have passed the proficiency examination but who wish to review their French in order to take advanced courses in language, literature, and civilization. Offered every semester. 4 points.
