Nathalie Montoya is associate professor of sociology at Paris Diderot University (Laboratoire du Changement Social et Politique). In the department of social science, she teaches an introductory class to sociology and various courses in the Master’s program in cultural policies. She is also associate researcher at the CERLIS research center at Paris Descartes University. Her research focuses on cultural democratization. Her PhD in sociology from Sorbonne Nouvelle University (2009) dealt with cultural mediation activities. Since, she has led several collective research projects on culture in social work and art education. During her stay at the CIRHUS, she will work on the history of public debates about art education in US and in France.
