Marianne Zwicker has a Ph.D. in German Studies from the University of Edinburgh, where she also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in German language, literature, and culture. Her doctoral dissertation and postdoctoral research at Edinburgh’s Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities focused on Romani writing in Germany and Austria.
Before joining Deutsches Haus as its Language Program Coordinator in late 2013, she was an ACLS Public Fellow at the Institute of International Education’s Scholar Rescue Fund in New York. She holds a Master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Edinburgh and a B.A. in German Studies from Moravian College.
