Representatives of NYU’s Graduate English Organization (GEO) are dedicated to community building among the graduate English student body. We are acting liaisons for our MA and PhD colleagues as well as the faculty, and aim to facilitate exchange between the MA and PhD students within the department. At the beginning of the fall semester, we will welcome the incoming admits at orientation and make ourselves available as resources to the first year cohorts. Throughout the year, it is our mission to keep lines of communications open and to act as a bridge between PhD candidates, MA students, and the rest of the department.

Together with PhD GEO representatives we are responsible for planning events that promote interconnectivity across our community such as workshops, field trips, happy hours, and holiday parties. We work to promote the MA/PhD Buddy Scheme, and are also available by email to answer any questions that MA students may have.
