Please note that NYU has recently changed its reimbursement processes.
All guests requesting reimbursement must now register in NYU’s procurement system called iBuy as a “supplier” in order to receive reimbursement. Prior reimbursement from NYU does not guarantee that you are automatically enrolled as a registrant in the new payment system.
In order to enroll you should receive an e-mail invite to register as a supplier in the NYU system from the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org This sometimes gets filtered to your spam folder so please check this.

Please follow the directions in the invite e-mail for registering. You will be asked to provide personal information (residential address, citizenship, SSN, direct deposit and wire information) to complete registration. Due to system security features, NYU Department of Economics staff is unable to complete your enrollment into the system for you.
Please note that it is NYU Economics Department's policy to reimburse ONLY for 14+ day advance purchase economy class fares unless you have received a PRIOR Special Approval for a different class fare. Please book your airfare early!
Please remember to include in your receipt submission, if appropriate, a detailed itinerary of your airfare costs as well as the boarding passes associated with those flights. All receipts should be as detailed as possible.
We ask that you keep any food expenses to a minimum, if your host indicates that meals will be covered.
When assembling your receipts for submission we ask that you submit them as ONE pdf attachment (not multiple forwarded e-mails). Please includes a document listing which seminar, activity, or event you participated in while you were at NYU as well as a listing of the receipts being submitted so that we can process your reimbursement more quickly.
