PREREQUISITE: ECON-UA 10 OR ECON-UB 10 OR ECON-UA 11 OR ECON-UB 11. SAME AS ECON-GA 3001.

The goal of the course is to introduce the student to formal models in Economic Theory. We will examine a series of formal models related to topics like Market Equilibrium, Social Choice, Matching, Mechanism Design and Fairness. Detailed lecture notes will be distributed together with a weekly problem set.

Explores economic issues of economic policy using the tools learned in the intermediate micro- and macroeconomic courses. Focuses on a particular issue each term.
