Viennale MehrWERT Filmpreis

For the last 50 years, the Viennale has screened its exceptional program in Vienna’s most beautiful cinemas. In addition to contemporary feature films in all their forms, genres and narratives, the festival devotes itself to documentary cinema, international short films as well as experimental works and crossover projects.

Since 2004, Erste Bank has become the Viennale’s main sponsor as part of the MoreVALUE sponsorship program. In 2011 Erste Bank founded and awarded the MoreVALUE Film Award for the first time. The winner of the MoreVALUE Film Award receives a cash prize, a two-month residency as a visiting film scholar in New York City, a stay in a Greenwich Village apartment provided by Deutsches Haus at NYU, a presentation of their award-winning work to a New York audience, as well as the reimbursement of the traveling expenses.

Erste Bank’s MoreVALUE Film Award is realized in co-operation with the Viennale, Deutsches Haus at NYU and the Austrian Cultural Forum New York. For more information, please see Erste Bank Der MehrWERT - Filmpreis
