Deutsches Haus at NYU will present "Art and Friends: Measuring Time" in collaboration with the Chelsea Music Festival. Please join us for the exhibition opening on June 15, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m.
This intimate summer show will feature works by Bill Beirne, Alexander Hahn, Harry Newman, Regula Rüegg, Silvelin von Scanzoni, and Ursula Schneider, and will explore various aspects of rhythm, memory, decay, aging and the act of waiting. The exhibition hosts a different range of personal approaches from abstract to representation, as well as various techniques - photography, print, woodcut, drawing.
The Chelsea Music Festival vision is to celebrate great music by bringing together world-leading musicians and exciting newcomers to the international stage in the performing, culinary and visual arts. The 2017 Chelsea Music Festival returns for its 8th season with an exploration of its theme “Measuring Time.” From June 9-17, the Festival will present nine days of events throughout the Chelsea neighborhood and beyond in a wide-ranging exploration of pulse and time through the performing, visual and culinary arts.
