A theoretical construction of genetic material
DNA is a contrivance found by Nature for the storage and transmission of hereditary characters. Why is DNA such as it is and not otherwise? This question will be examined through a theoretical construction of the genetic material, using the language and the methods introduced in order to build the foundations of biology. The construction establishes the unique and ideal character of DNA and also improves of our understanding of the structure of amino acids and proteins.
