SAME AS HIST-GA 3536.

This course will examine how Jewis worked for and achieved citizenship in the 19th century, felt patriotism and loyalty to their nations during World War I, and later faced repression from Nazi Germany and its allies. Still Jewish experiences differed, depending on the country in which they lived. Students will examine government policies, Jewish reactions, and the behavior of perpetrators and bystanders.
