The new Virtual Computer Lab (VCL) provides access to academic software through a web browser and an Internet connection. The VCL is open to all degree-seeking NYU students with active NYU email accounts. The current NYU-licensed software includes SPSS, Photoshop, Illustrator, Matlab, Mathematica, R, Adobe and MS Office products. Students can use all software packages from their own computer anywhere on campus via a wireless or wired connection. The VCL is available whenever and wherever NYU students connect to the Internet.
You can log in to the VCL by directing your browser to vcl.nyu.edu or via the Academics tab of NYUHome. The first time you log into the VCL, you will be prompted to install the Citrix ICA plug-in. Click the Download button and follow the instructions and prompts on the screen. Once installation is completed, you will be able to launch and use the available applications.
