Hiring a Student Worker
The Department regularly employs students to support the Office by photocopying, scanning, and performing other clerical duties. Faculty members can also hire students to support their research and teaching.

Hiring a Non-Student Worker
On occasion, when specific expertise is needed, a non-student worker (e.g., a recent graduate) may be hired on a part-time, temporary basis. Contact the Department Administrator for more information.

The University’s program for Visiting Scholars extends specified courtesy titles and privileges to scholars of distinction who visit New York University in order to engage in research and scholarship, and in general scholarly and cultural interaction with New York University’s faculty and students. The appointment process has many steps, so faculty interested in hosting a Visiting Scholar are advised to start the process as early as possible.
